The Brainerd
Public Utilities Commission (BPUC) is seeking a qualified candidate to
fill the Superintendent position to provide leadership and direction in
matters relating to the construction, operation, maintenance and repair
of the municipal utilities system including the Electric, Water, and
Wastewater Treatment divisions. With the Brainerd Public Utilities (BPU)
Secretary/Finance Director, exercises general and administrative
supervision over all BPU employees and operations. This position
requires strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal communication
skills.
Qualifications:
-High
school graduate with minimum two year post secondary education in civil
engineering or related field.
-Must
possess and maintain a current MN Class D driver’s license.
-Five
years of municipal utility related experience is required. Utility
supervisory experience is highly desirable.
-Bachelor’s
Degree in a related field or the equivalent in knowledge gained through
experience and/or education with at least five years of utility
experience is desired.

The starting
salary range is $82,000 - $86,500 DOQ plus an excellent benefit package.

Central Wisconsin Biosolids Facility has an immediate opening for a
Facility Operations Superintendent in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. This
position works under the direction and supervision of the Biosolids
Commission. Responsibilities include planning, organizing and
participating in the overall operation and maintenance of the facility,
including supervising employees, developing short and long term goals,
and preparing budget/financial reports. Experience in biosolids
processing, and wastewater treatment plant operations or combination of
training and experience is required. Must have Wisconsin Grade III
Special K Certification (must be obtainable within one year). Salary
DOQ.

The Plant Manager will

The City of
Rochester, Minnesota, is currently accepting applications for the
position of Plant Manager at the Water Reclamation Plant, a division of
the Public Works Department.
The Plant Manager
plans, schedules, assigns, directs, and evaluates the operational and
maintenance activities of a Class A activated sludge treatment plant
according the state and federal requirements. The Plant Manager
supervises the activities of personnel involved in the operation,
quality control, and maintenance of the plant.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and
five years experience in the operation and management of a Class A
Wastewater treatment plant. Valid MN driver’s license or valid driving
privileges with the State of MN. State of MN Class A wastewater
treatment plant operator license or equivalent out of state license with
ability to obtain licensure through State of MN. Type IV Land
Application of Biosolids license or equivalent out of state license with
ability to obtain licensure through the State of MN. Registration as a
Professional Engineer desirable.

The City of
Menomonie, Wisconsin is accepting applications for the permanent,
full-time position of Operator at the Wastewater Treatment Facility.
Menomonie (pop. 16,098) is located in west central Wisconsin,
approximately 65 miles east of the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN metro area.
Duties include plant
operations and solids processing, equipment trouble shooting and repair,
collection system maintenance, and laboratory analysis. Weekend, holiday
and on-call duty is required.
An
associate/technical degree in a related field or equivalent combination
of education and experience is desired. The position requires knowledge
of wastewater treatment and the ability to obtain a State of Wisconsin
Department of Natural Resources Grade IV wastewater certification with
subclasses: A, C, E, F, G, I & J. A grade one WDNR wastewater operator
certification is required within one year of the date of hire. The
operator must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. A
State of Wisconsin Commercial Drivers License (CDL) must be obtained
within 3 months of hiring.
